The Boy Who Called My Son “Brother” Had Been Telling the Truth

For eight years, I believed one of my twin sons had died during childbirth.

Then my surviving son, Cole, began fighting with a boy named Stefan who kept insisting they were brothers.

The moment I saw Stefan, I froze.

He had Cole’s gray eyes, the same facial features, and even the tiny mark beside his eyebrow.

Then Stefan’s mother arrived.

I recognized her immediately.

Laura had been a nurse at the hospital where I gave birth.

When confronted, she finally confessed.

My second baby had never died.

My husband, Mark, had been secretly involved with Laura. While I was unconscious after delivery, they arranged for her to leave the hospital with my newborn son.

A DNA test confirmed that Cole and Stefan were identical twins.

Hospital records later exposed the rest of the deception.

I divorced Mark and slowly began rebuilding a relationship with the son I had believed was gone forever.

Months later, I watched the boys sitting together in our backyard.

Cole looked at Stefan and smiled.

“So you really are my brother.”

Stefan grinned.

“I told you.”
