Five days ago, Alyssa Milano, 51, star of “Charmed,” shared a series of Instagram photos from a fantastic trip to Cabo San Lucas with her husband, David Bugliari, and friends. The cover photo of the set caught the most attention.
In the cover shot from May 9, 2024, Milano posed in a bikini and beach hat alongside Bugliari in a hot tub. Observant social media users quickly noticed a change in the actress’s appearance, with some even suggesting she stop using Botox.
One Instagram user asked, “That’s Alyssa Milano?” while another commented, “That doesn’t look like her.” A third person added, “I don’t know who that is, but it’s not Alyssa Milano.”
Some felt the need to offer advice on her looks. One urged, “Please refrain from Botoxing your face! You’re beginning to look like those who overdo it.” Another criticized her outfit, saying, “Put some clothes on, girl, geesh,” while a Facebook user remarked, “Think she left half her top at home.”
Other commenters focused on her physical changes, with one noting, “What an odd concept—breast implants,” and another asking in confusion, “What did she do to her face?” However, amidst the criticism, a fan gushed, “You two are so beautiful. Beautiful pictures. 🥰💜”
Milano also shared other delightful photos from the vacation, capturing sweet moments on the beach with friends, dining at Nobu, and posing with three other couples in matching pajamas with their initials.
“Trip to #nobuloscabosresidences for couples… This location is flawless. For an extended stay, a romantic retreat, or a trip with the family in mind. Strongly recommend… We are here with our best friends and I can’t stop grinning,” Milano wrote on Instagram.
Despite enjoying the trip, the negative comments somewhat overshadowed their holiday. Milano has always been candid about her cosmetic procedures, and many remarks on her appearance and Botox use expressed surprise.
In a 2021 TikTok video, responding to a fan’s question about how she stays so youthful, Milano, a mother of two who had previously used the low-carb Atkins diet to achieve her “happy” weight, cheekily answered, “Botox,” with a wink.
A month after this video, Milano addressed another question from a social media user who facetiously asked if she had taken her medication. Milano used the opportunity to destigmatize mental health medication, just as Botox has been destigmatized.
Milano, who admitted needing to work harder to stay in shape after becoming a mother, has been open about using Botox and the natural physical changes that come with aging. She posted a makeup-free selfie on her 48th birthday, noting these changes in her caption.
“When I move, my body makes crackling sounds. The other day, my kid asked me why my butt jiggles so much. I can forget things sometimes. I’m always exhausted. But overall, I’m just thankful for this life. My life,” she wrote.
To celebrate her 51st birthday last year, Milano posted another makeup-free selfie similar to her 2020 birthday post, featuring an image carousel with text overlaying her photo.
Speaking about this milestone, which she called reaching “level 51,” Milano shared insightful life lessons, referring to love, understanding, compassion, resilience, and gratitude as “cheat codes” for navigating life.
“I embrace the challenges and joys that lie ahead, knowing that I have the cheat codes of resilience, gratitude, compassion, empathy, and the love of those around me to guide me through this game of life,” she concluded.
