“People were amazed as they witnessed an unusual scene unfolding from the sea.
Visitors along the Romanian coastline were surprised by an unanticipated discovery in the water. A wounded dolphin had been washed ashore by the sea waves.
Attempts were made to rescue the dolphin by removing it from the water, but unfortunately, its chances of survival were minimal. Experts identified the mammal as a member of the Delphinus Delphis species.

Upon examination, several injuries were found on its body, likely caused by fishing nets.
The Black Sea is home to three marine mammal species: the common porpoise (Phocoena phocoena), the common dolphin (Delphinus delphis), and the pilot whale (Grampus griseus).
These incidents highlight the challenges that marine mammals face due to human activities and underscore the importance of raising awareness and protecting marine ecosystems.”
